Oriģināls

On May 1, 2010, Jazzhus Montmartre reopened in its original premises at Store Regnegade 19A, where so many jazz icons and trendsetting musicians performed from 1959 until the club closed in 1976. With the revival of the original close atmosphere and great acoustics, Montmartre has successfully resurrected its reputation as one of Europe’s best jazz clubs, and one where musicians love to play. Nikolaj Bentzon belongs to one of the strongest generations in Danish jazz, having helped lead it in new directions throughout the 1990s. Ever since his first trio with Thomas Ovesen and Jonas Johansen, Nikolaj Bentzon has covered a lot of musical territory but always left a deep impression. These two evenings in May 2013 saw a return to Bentzon ’s first love – the classic Piano trio - with Thomas Fonnesbæk on Bass and Winard Harper on Drums. The line-up was new and the energy phenomenal – something everybody at the time couldn’t help but notice.
