After attending a German school there and the Moscow Conservatory, he completed his studies at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Berlin. During his time in Berlin he worked as a composition professor in the employ of Joseph Joachim. numbering Heinrich Kaminski, Stefan Wolpe, Philipp Jarnach, Max Trapp, Henry Jolles, and Gunnar Johansen among his students. He moved to and retired in Switzerland in 1934, and died in Vevey on August 21st, 1940. for Piano, Violin, Viola, and Violoncello. this is a reprint of the 1907 Schlesinger edition.
